Painter of The Wilder Aspects of Landscape
I am a painter of the wilder aspects of landscape. My intention is to paint with an energy that consolidates into a moment of stillness.
I am inspired by low sun landscapes, quite often sunrises. I feel I am part of the large tribe who find solace in wild places. I live close to The Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, UK. My sources of inspiration are my local area, as well as the river Wye, Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, coastal Pembrokeshire, further afield in the UK and in Norway . I paint with encaustic, oils and acrylics. My work is loosely influenced by Romanticism and Expressionism.
